About New Wave Academy Bromley

We are a Mixed Martial Arts gym based in the heart of Bromley, South-East London, located 3 minutes walk from Bromley South Station, outside the Glades Shopping Centre.

Welcome to New Wave Academy Training Centre — South London’s premier destination for world-class Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) training. With locations in Bromley, Croydon, and Penge, we offer a comprehensive range of disciplines including Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ), Muay Thai, Wrestling, Boxing, and No-Gi Grappling. Our facilities are open seven days a week, providing flexible scheduling to accommodate all levels—from beginners to professional athletes.
Founded in 2007, New Wave Academy has cultivated a reputation for excellence in martial arts instruction. Our experienced coaching staff, featuring multiple BJJ black belts and seasoned fighters, is dedicated to helping you achieve your personal goals, whether they involve fitness, self-defence, or competitive success.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Yes, completely! We all start our journey somewhere. We offer a free trial class so please feel free to come down and see what we are all about.

  • No. As long as you do not have a serious muscular (muscle tear) or skeletal injury (broken bone), then you will be able to take part in any of the sessions. Certain aspects of the class can be regressed to meet the need of your fitness level.

  • Yes. With an established footprint in the comp MMA scene for many years, our coaches will be able to arrange matches in various disciplines for you when you are ready.

  • A safe environment is the number 1 priority for our kids programme. With 10+ years experience in running successful kids programs, our coaches are trained to meet high quality standards. All of our coaches are enhanced DBS checked.
